Rolf Sohlberg, MD

Native to Missoula, Montana, Dr. Sohlberg grew up enjoying backpacking, fly fishing, and skiing. He left Missoula to attend Stanford University and then medical school at University of Washington in Seattle. A five-year stint in Chicago for a residency in orthopedic surgery was followed by a one-year hand surgery subspecialty year in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Sohlberg joined a large orthopedic surgery group in Portland, Oregon, and practiced full-time from 1994 to 2021. Serving in multiple leadership roles, he also built a thriving surgical practice and retired in the summer of 2021.

Dr. Sohlberg calls Montana home once again, having felt the call to return to the place of his upbringing. He is a passionate fly fisherman, mountain biker, skier, and guitar player. Finding that he missed the intellectual challenges of orthopedic surgery, he decided to return to the field, both as a medico-legal consultant as well as an online resource to patients looking for a convenient and patient-centered consultation experience.
